ECO ACTION WEEK "Dont's let our futrue dry, Save nature let Earth Thrive "

DAY- 1

Early Years: Exploration and Discovery

  • Pre-Nursery & Nursery:
    • Young learners embarked on a sensory-rich Nature Walk.
    • Explored textures and colours of the outdoors.
    • Followed by a Seed Germination activity, planting seeds in labelled pots using soil.
  • LKG:
    • Combined observation with artistry after a guided Nature Walk.
    • Participated in “Nature’s Mirror,” a creative session.
    • Used leaves and landscapes to reflect nature through their eyes.
  • UKG:
    • Focused on the source of their food.
    • Toured the Kitchen Garden.
    • Observed fruits and vegetables in their natural habitat.
    • Concluded with detailed artwork of the produce they encountered.

Grade 1 & 2: Growth and Shadows

  • Grades 1 & 2:
    • Divided into science groups for a Seed Germination activity.
    • Integrated art with nature through a Leaf and Nature Shadow Drawing activity.

Grade 3–6: Stewardship and Responsibility

  • Grades 3–6:
    • Took on active leadership roles through a Plantation and Zone-wise Adoption initiative.
    • Each group managed a specific green zone on campus.
    • Tasks included establishment of Maintenance Records.
    • Ensured long-term care, watering, and plant health accountability.

DAY- 2

Activity Highlights:

  • Pre-Nursery: The youngest learners showcased their creativity by turning old shoe boxes into charming giraffe-themed storage boxes.
  • Nursery: Students focused on organization, crafting decorative pen holders and storage units from recycled materials.
  • LKG: Demonstrated resourcefulness by repurposing shoe boxes into storage containers and designing unique pen holders using old bangles.
  • UKG: Students utilized old cardboard to create personalized photo frames and pen holders.
  • Grades 1 & 2: These classes displayed impressive artistry, using pencil shavings to create textured flower pots and transforming used cans and bottles into sturdy pencil holders.
  • Grades 3 to 6: The school organized a "Best Out of Waste" competition for the senior primary wing. Students engineered a variety of innovative items, including portable bins, water tanks, organizers, photo frames, and pen holders, demonstrating a high level of environmental consciousness and design skill.

DAY-3

Activity Highlights:

  • Pre-Nursery & Nursery: Our youngest learners stepped into the shoes of eco-warriors through role-play activities. They focused on simple yet vital actions, such as saving water and turning off electricity, making the concepts relatable through play.
  • LKG: Students participated in an interactive quiz and role-play sessions led by their facilitators. To celebrate the upcoming Earth Day, they also expressed their creativity by designing beautiful, themed posters.
  • UKG: The energy conservation message was delivered through story-based role play and a competitive quiz, helping students understand the “why” behind saving energy in an engaging way.
  • Grades 1–6: Older students focused on advocacy and practical action. They participated in a slogan writing activity centered on water conservation. Additionally, they received practical demonstrations on energy mindfulness, specifically the importance of switching off lights and fans when leaving a room.
